First of all, it is the biological control agent encarsia formosa – a harmless bug, which destroys the actual plant vermin. Pagirių Šiltnamiai grows encarsia for its own needs and never lacks the biological control agent, while other greenhouse companies buy them abroad and do not always have harmless means for timely control of vermin.

Another biological agent against vermin used in Pagirių Šiltnamiai is Nemazal, which is fully harmless to humans. Nemazal is an extract of neem (Azadirachta Indica), which is sometimes used in cosmetics. It is perhaps the only insecticide, which can be used in residential quarters. Nemazal is rather expensive but is recommended even by organic farmers.
